I grew up in Oklahoma. I’ve lived in Colorado, California, Ohio, and Oregon (apparently I have a thing for O-states). I have friends and family all over the country, and the one thing I notice when I talk to any of them? They don’t know what they can do to change things. They don’t think their contribution matters. They’re insanely busy - with kids, jobs or joblessness, aging parents, illnesses - and their capacity for change making is roughly the size of a pin-head.

This space is dedicated to all of you out there who are stressed about the country ON TOP of all the other crippling stressors you deal with every day. Those who want access to health care, living wage jobs, and resources to grow into your future in peace. Those of you who want to be respected for who you are, instead of fearing that your very existence may incite violence in others. Violence supported by our government.
